Card 9 in Great October Giveaway!

Just a minute or two ago I was reading a message from our daughter Stephanie. She said she's been making "harvest dinners" at their house. She is a wonderful cook, taking after her grandmother, so I'm sure her house was filled with yummy aromas all week long. Do you remember when you were a little kid (come on, has it been THAT long ago?), coming home from school and realising as soon as the door was open that there would be a spectacular dinner that evening? MMM! The roast chicken! The baking potatoes! The onions in the dressing!

I don't think Wichita has been working in the kitchen. At best she throws a few frog's tails in the cauldron, mumbles her magic incantations, then hops on her broom and goes searching for mischief.

Notice what a difference there is with the same stamp when a different color scheme
is used.

  1. I just love reading your blog entry, it always makes me chuckle. I love the harvest foods too. Yesterday my kitchen smelled like pumpkin spice coffee and pumpkin pie. Tuesday it was apple dumplings and turkey vegie soup in the crockpot. Today, will be beef stew with garden fresh tomatoes and zucchini! Apple fritter bread (from WalMart). So send Witchita over for dinner! Oh yes, you can come too. Hugs, Sue
